I call this a beach jewel ring. The ring is a bentwood ring made from oak. The oak has been ebonized to make it black and then sanded back.

Into the top of this, I have set a tiny beach pebble that I found on Charlestown Beach in Cornwall. It is about 9mm in diameter. I think the pebble is quartz, but I am not a geologist.

In the photo, you will see lots of different beach stones and their size and shapes.

The band of the ring is 8mm wide and 2mm thick. The band where the stone sits if wider. From the shoulder of the ring it is only 8mm wide.

I do not “mass produce” these items. I see a stone I like and buy it. Then I will look at mounting it on a ring. This is the only one in this style available.

FAQs

Looking after your ring.
Bentwood and wooden rings need more love and care than metal ones. The finish on them will not last if you do the following things with them:
  • Manual work and heavy lifting.
  • Do not submerge them in water for long periods such as in the bath, showering, swimming, washing up etc.
  • Statement rings are really intended to be "going out" attire not everyday wear.
If you do damage the finish on your rings it may affect larger areas of the finish. If you see a damaged area then I recommend getting in touch and we can arrange for you to send it back and we will refinish it for a small charge.
Refund policy.
We will refund money for items so long as:
  1. They are returned in the condition they were sent out in.
  2. They are returned within 14 days of purchase. This allows you time to make sure they fit.
  3. The purchaser pays for the return postage.
Refunds will not be provided outside of the 14 day period.
