Purple heartwood whale tail

This is a hand cut, carved and finished whale tail made from purple heartwood.

Size: 36mm long and 40mm wide, 11mm deep.

This is one of the smallest tails I have made. I have carved it so there is as much movement in it as I could get. Purple heartwood is linked to nobility, wisdom, healing and creativity.
